MARINE WALK
Public Space at Puerto de Veracruz
The objective of this project was to revitalize the abandoned area that stands next to the 'Ripley Museum' in the Port of Veracruz, Mexico.
It consists of 3 interventions:
1. Urban intervention (pedestrian axis, vehicular axis and bicycle lane).
2. Marine Walk + pools.
3. Sculptural Element.
The marine walk seeks to generate a space that 'floats' on the SEA with the intention of integrating the port and the people who use it with this powerful natural element. In this way, users will be able to walk on the seafront and be in contact with the water, since the spaces that are generated between the port and the marine walk work like small pools that fill up with the tide.
As for the sculptural element, it is a path that rises to function as a viewpoint towards the port and the sea, it is located in a public space that also serves as an esplanade and a a living space for the museum.
